Mormon Fundamentalists

These are any former members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who have made a break with the accepted doctrine of the church and have been subsequently excommunicated from the church. Largest of the fundamentalist groups is the New and Living Ministry of Jesus Christ of Modern Saints.

These groups embrace polygamy, and frequently a zionistic militarism, claiming revelatory approval because of scripture in the Doctrine and Covenants, revelations of Joseph Smith. While mainstream Mormonism rejects their interpretation of scripture, the Ministry holds violently to their beliefs.
